Family Support Derbyshire is responsible for raising all the funds to keep our vital family support service running. We believe the best possible start in life for a child begins at home. A nurturing, loving, stable family and home environment strongly determines a child's future life chances. Children whose parents are struggling to cope can miss out on the love, routine and support that are vital for their future.
- 28% of children are living in poverty
- 12% of children are raised in lone parent households
- 32% of homeless applications are from parents with dependent children
- 35% of young people report feeling depressed in the last two weeks
- Over half of adult mental health problems start in childhood
