We are proud to be taking part in today’s special social media moment to celebrate the work of Family Support Derbyshire and all the other organisations who are doing amazing work and having a positive impact upon communities.

Supporting Families here at Family Support Derbyshire is incredibly important to us all, which is why so many people help and contribute in so many different ways.

To all of those people, including Trustees, Staff, Volunteers, and Friends, we would like to say a huge thank you.

We are delighted that our website contains photographs of real Families, our Families! Thank you to everyone who contributes and is happy to share your precious images.

We feel that a photograph can speak a hundred words…..

Here you can see the true outcomes of the work we do…..smiles, joy and laughter, feeling listened to and supported,

having somewhere to go and someone to go to.

We have received wonderful, heartwarming comments from Families in response to the regular phone calls, texts, What’s App messages, and video calls throughout this difficult year, and messages of thanks for the socially distant face to face meetings which have been possible in gardens and parks across Derbyshire. More recently the opening of our new Woodlands Centre has been a lifeline, enabling a Covid secure meeting place for Staff/Volunteers and Families. We have already started a ‘Mother and Baby’ group, had a ‘Roots Shoots and Welly Boots Books Pop up Shop’, and hope to hold an increasing number of events as guidelines allow.

We work in partnership with many local professionals within the NHS and education and are planning even more collaborations with even more organisations to provide increased support and opportunities to the children and Families of Derby.

We feel that it is vital for children to experience the best start possible in life and we work with commitment and dedication with our Families to achieve this.
